On February 12th, 2002, Mark and Holly Woodard and Brian and Andrea Holmquist began learning the language and culture of the Bagwido people. To their knowledge there was not one believer in this language group of 1,000. But, on April 6th, 2008, God made history by making new brothers and sisters in Christ, believers with clear testimonies about the free gift they have received of Jesus dying for their sin. Listen to the testimonies of what God did in their hearts.

Bonipas (more than 80 years old): "I believe in the Redeemer. I believe in His free gift for my sin." He cleaned my dirty inner being because I came from Adam's family. I was born in Adam but now I am born in Christ…. Don't worry; I will go first to heaven, because I am old. Then I will go and be with God in heaven, and I will wait for you there."

Ismail Bawik: "Before when Mark came in, I told him that we had heard the story of Jesus but we didn't know who Jesus really was. But now today I tell you, I know what John 14:6 means. Today I believe that Jesus is my Getting-Back-Man (Redeemer). Today I believe that when Jesus died on the cross, his blood bought my sin. Also, the big space that Adam and Eve made between them and God, when they sinned in the garden, all men who are born get that big space as well. But today I believe in the Getting-Back-Man, and the Great Creator Being (God) joined me back to Him, the original Source of Life. Now I am standing in God's canoe, never to go back to Satan's canoe again."

METYU: "Great Creator Being, He sent the Redeemer, and He (Jesus) took my sin on Him and took them (my sins) to hell and they cooked in hell. There is only ONE road. That is my Redeemer and He has saved me. He is the road, the ladder, and the door to the Great Creator Being. He and only He!

GETRUD "Jesus was the true lamb of God. He is the one that paid for my sin. All of the sin that I have done, that I do, and that I will do, Jesus blood took away my sin and I am his child. I want to know more about my Redeemer."

HERMINA: "I am a hearer and follower and believer in the Coming-Getting-Back-One (Redeemer). I believe that his blood was spilled when they killed him on the cross and that is what paid for our sin debt. I know that is true talk. Holly asked her, "So, Hermina, if you died today and stood before God, how would he scale (judge) you?" She cut Holly off with her reply, "He won’t judge me! What do you mean how will he judge me? I believe in the Redeemer and because of Him I will go to heaven to be with God! I am God’s kid. He died for my sin and bought me back!"

Klara: "I just am so happy about what Jesus, the Redeemer, did for my sin on the cross. He had to carry so much heavy and pain and sorrow and burden for me. My inner being just cries when I think of what He did for me. He cleaned my dirty inner being and my body of sin. He washed it away with his blood and He made me clean again. Thank you and thank you! If these 2 (meaning Mark and Brian) would not have come here, if these 2 would not have worked so hard to learn and understand my language, I would not be understanding this sweet and true talk. I am so happy about the free gift that Jesus gave to me."

Jeffri: "After I heard you guys teach about the free gift, I had no more talk. What else could I say? That was it. I hear it and agree with it and believe it. When I heard that He took my place and joined me back to the Father, I know that is true. I will stand in God's canoe for good. He bought all my sin. He took my place and I believe Him. He was the perfect lamb. He is the door. He is the only road for me to God. He is my Redeemer."
